Precision During Biopsy

Elevating Colposcopy
Maintaining Optimal Visualization During Biopsy
Precision during biopsy can be compromised if the target area cannot be seen. Clinicians commonly use a colposcope’s magnification to identify areas of concern during cervical exams, but might move it during biopsy.
With a traditional optic colposcope, performing a biopsy while maintaining visualization through the eyepieces can require the provider to lean and hunch forward into the device, work around the colposcope, and coordinate their instruments while remaining in position with their eyes at the binoculars. Because of this we often hear clinicians move the colposcope to the side when it is time to take the tissue samples. At that critical moment, the magnified view is lost and accuracy of finding the targeted area is reduced.
To help improve the precision durning biopsy, the LT-300HD remains in position and focused allowing the provider to maintain a magnified, real-time view of the biopsy site on the device screen.
See the Margins. Target the Tissue.
When taking a biopsy, millimeters matter.
The LT-300HD Colposcope provides clear, high-resolution magnified visualization with fine-focus control, allowing the clinician to closely evaluate the tissue and clearly see the margins of the area identified for biopsy. Providers can adjust magnification and fine focus as needed throughout the exam, with magnification up to 15x most commonly used during biopsy.
Instead of looking away from the eyepiece on an older colposcope, a clinician can watch the biopsy instrument approach the targeted tissue in real time on the LT-300HD’s digital display. Improving on hand-eye coordination needed to precisely biopsy the intended area.
Designed to Support Clinical Workflow
Lutech’s compact design and 5.5-inch integrated device screen, allows for simultaneous access to the patient, biopsy instruments, and magnified visualization during the biopsy workflow.
During biopsy, clinicians can benefit from:
- Continuous magnified visualization without moving the colposcope aside
- Upright provider posture without hunching into eyepieces
- Large-screen viewing using the integrated display, laptop, or monitor
- Improved hand-eye coordination while manipulating biopsy instruments
- Clear visualization of lesion margins to help target the intended tissue
- Adjustable magnification and fine-focus control for detailed visualization of tissue and lesion margins
- High-resolution, true-color visualization of tissue and texture
- Hands-free, one-click image capture for documentation and continued care
A colposcope shouldn’t become an obstacle when it’s time to perform the biopsy. It should be one of the clinician’s most valuable tools. The LT-300HD Colposcope is designed to support greater precision from the moment an abnormal area is identified through the moment the biopsy is taken.
